Everybody feels stress from time to time. Letting this stress build up can have an impact on your health!
Stress can consume your mental and physical responses and can dial up that mental pressure when not addressed. Feeling that you have so much to get accomplished – but not enough time to do?
Causes of Stress
- A Major Life Change.
- Pressure from Work or School.
- Relationship Difficulties.
- Financial Problems.
These are all genuine traits that have us feeling overwhelmed losing sleep and in a brain fog!
Why do we understand and recognise that we have daily stress and not combat it? Because it is addictive!
When we are faced with a new circumstance or event, our bodies pump hormones (cortisol, adrenaline and dopamine) into our system. This prepares our bodies from an outside threat – fight or flight. When these hormones get released too often, or when this action becomes our default mode – problems start.
Our bodies functioning at this rate, increases its temperature, blood pressure and heart rate! How are you expected to sleep!

Write a to do List – write down every single task , erand, chore and whatever it is that you are keeping in your ever busy mind. Absolutely everything- on a paper or pad. Spend 5-10 minutes and no matter how small you may think it is – WRITE IT DOWN!
Take a break for a couple of minutes when complete, then return to writing more- squeeze out the last few tasks that may be on your mind.
Before returning to your list take three deep breathes and notice the relief you have acquired- you have started to take control. It feels good to free your mind up from storing all those to do’s.
Returning to list now we prioritize every single task with a letter.
Priority. This is an hour task that needs to be addressed as soon as you can. Spend an hour on it! You will get it complete. If it is a bigger task and needs more attention allot hourly increments until complete.
To Do’s These are more hour increment tasks that can be scheduled later on calendar .Examples- car wash, clothes shopping, recycle, empty/clean closets.
Tasks these are under two-minute to do’s that can be grouped together in hour increments and mass done . Set aside two hours on your calendar and accomplish 20 in a clip. examples – call dentist email client, write in calendar.
Assign all your list to your calendar in accordance – but do leave some time for last minute pop ups. Your future self will thank you for this process!
